HEALTH GUARANTEE:
Required vet visit: Your puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of pickup. Puppy must be examined by a licensed vet within 3 days of pickup or delivery. Proof of this vet exam must be sent to breeder. If said pup is found by a licensed veterinarian not to be in good health, the breeder agrees to refund the purchase price upon return of the puppy to the breeder. The breeder is not responsible for any expenses incurred. This required visit validates this agreement. By not adhering to the required vet visit this health guarantee is made null and void.
In the event of the untimely passing of your puppy/dog prior to the age of 2 years old, the breeder requires a necropsy to be performed by a licensed veterinarian and for it to be a conclusive diagnosis proving a hereditary/congenital defect that caused their death to qualify for a replacement under our health guarantee. Said condition MUST be proven genetic, inconclusive studies that merely suggest disease is hereditary are not covered.
BREEDER PROMISE:
Hidden Acre Danes guarantee the puppy to be free for 2 years from the date of birth of hereditary and congenital disorders that may interfere with his/her ability to lead a normal life. These disorders can include, but are not limited to; hip dysplasia, deafness, and blindness. The dog must be examined by two different vets, one must be approved by the breeder, and a certified statement for the problem must be made available. At that time proof of an adequate, large/giant breed tailored diet must also be made available. Itemized receipts for dog food will be acceptable. Breeder reserves the right to have the dog re-examined by his veterinarian at his cost. The breeder is not responsible for any veterinarian bills and or costs acquired by you, the buyer.
When a replacement is warranted, breeder will offer a puppy of the same or similar quality from a current or next available litter. No specific color or gender is guaranteed. no money will be refunded.
Breeder does not guarantee against any common health issues such as diarrhea, coccidiosis, urinary tract infection, ear mites, external/internal parasites, cherry eye, entropion/ectropion, demodectic mange, and or any illness related to stress due to shipping or new environment.
This dog is being sold pet only, limited AKC registration meaning that it will not and cannot be shown in AKC events or bred unless otherwise stated in an attached clause.
BUYERS PROMISE:
Buyer acknowledges herein their responsibility for continuing to maintain said dog in a healthy, clean and safe environment for the dog’s lifetime. Buyer further acknowledges responsibility for any and all appropriate medical care that is necessary for maintaining the health and welfare for the dog (heart worm prevention, vaccinations, flea control, de-wormings, etc.) Buyer further agrees to update Breeder on dogs progress at least every 3 to 6 months, this to include pictures. If breeder has suspicions that said dog is being abused or neglected, breeder has the right to enter your property and remove the dog.
Upon receiving your new puppy, he/she will come with age-appropriate vaccinations dependent on what age you take your puppy home. He/she has had a minimum of 4 rounds of wormer at 2, 4, 6 & 8 weeks of age as well as age appropriate preventatives for coccidia and giardia (common GI infection in puppies often contracted from their mother and/or environment).
Your puppy will also come microchipped. You will be provided with information at pickup on how to register this microchip to your puppy. Doing so helps ensure if your puppy is lost and then found that they will be able to return to their families safely. Registering this microchip is not a suggestion but a requirement of our agreement with the breeder.
An AKC limited registration application will be provided to you, we encourage you to hop onto the AKC website and register your new puppy. This provides you with access to many resources that will be helpful to you when raising your new puppy such pet insurance, training videos and much more.
It is required that you continue the vaccinations and worming schedule for your puppy as well as annual boosters for following years. You will be provided with a vaccination record at pickup.
Said pup is being sold as a pet only meaning he/she will need to spayed/neutered at their appropriate age. It is clinically recommended & breeder required that you wait until 18-24 months of age to spay/neuter. This is most important for the health and future of your new puppy however failure to comply will result in the termination of this health guarantee. We recommend you do plenty of research on this topic & even reach out with any questions. The single worst thing you can do for your new large breed puppy is spay/neuter them too soon.
Buyer agrees to take proper care of the puppy and to provide premium food, water, housing, proper socialization, and medical care. Buyer agrees to follow the breeder’s recommendations regarding feeding, training and exercise. Great Danes need plenty of rest, fresh water, and food, a warm/dry place to sleep, regular exercise and lots of LOVE!
Buyer agrees said puppy will never be surrendered to a shelter, placed on a co-own contract or housed anywhere other than the primary residence provided to the breeder at purchase. If for ANY REASON this puppy does not work out for you, and you are unable to provide this puppy with a happy home, you are required to contact Hidden Acre Danes.
By doing so, breeder and buyer can come to a mutual agreement of what is best for the dog. If an agreement cannot be reached the dog must be returned to the breeder at the buyers expense with no refund given. Before puppy is put into a new home it MUST be approved by breeder. Breeder has all rights to repossession of said puppy if placed in a non-approved home.
NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED INCLUDING THOSE OF FITNESS FOR PURPOSE & MERCHANT ABILITY.
You will be provided with a pickup date for your puppy. This pickup date is based on the age of the puppy being 8 weeks of age. If you are unable to pickup your pup within 2 days of that set date you will be charged a $25 per day boarding fee. If an agreement was made prior to purchase regarding pickup date being later than the scheduled pickup date this does not apply.
Buyer hereby releases the breeder and the breeder’s executors, administrators, personal representatives, estate legatees, devisees, heirs, successors and /or assigns from an and all liabilities, claims, responsibility and damages arising out of, resulting from or relating to any damage harm or injury, including, but not limited to, injury to a person or damage to property caused by the dog after delivery to the buyer.
Any and all legal fees incurred by the breeder in an attempt to regain any losses including but not limited to attorney fees, collection cost & court cost are the responsibility of the buyer.
